Born in Arezzo (AR), 16/08/1975, Italian citizen.

1. Education

  • 2001: Degree in Philosophy, Dept. of Philosophy, University of Florence, First-class honours degree. Thesis in Political Philosophy: "The political Theory of Norberto Bobbio. Philosophical and methodological Premises".
  • 2002-03: First year of PhD in "History of Political Thought and Political Philosophy", University of Padova (without grant).
  • 2003-07: PhD in "Philosophy", Dept. of Philosophy, University of Florence (3 years grant). Thesis in Political Philosophy: "The Age of Neutralisations and Depoliticisations. Origins of the Concept of Neutralisation in the political Thought of Carl Schmitt".

2. Current academic position

  • Since July 2007: Post-doctoral Researcher ("Assegnista di ricerca") at the Department of Philosophy, University of Florence (Position including research and teaching duties).
